Flower Mound Ticket Attorney.  So how do you determine when a lawyer can help you and when a lawyer cannot help you?  How do you know when your warrants are capias?  This article is intended to help you understand how a warrant is classified as capias so that you understand your legal options going forward.

A warrant that has become capias can only become capias under one circumstance.  That circumstance arises when a defendant has entered into a payment plan with Flower Mound Municipal Court and then defaulted on that payment plan.  Once an agreement has been reached by a defendant through either their lawyer or them directly the ability to lift the warrant for non-payment is not available.  Therefore, the only two options to resolve the capias warrant are to either do jail time or pay the ticket off in full.

The reason why this article was written was to help people understand when a lawyer is helpful and when they cannot provide a valuable service.  When a client hires us for capias warrants and the retainer has already been received many times, we have incurred costs as a law firm.  For example, we send all of our documents to court certified mail.  Further, the overhead of maintaining a trained staff to process a case is also used.  For this reason, a full refund may not be given based on the overhead spent.  Many times the client will have to cover the overhead spent (normally about $30.00) to cover the cost.
